
Gülcemal Alhanlıoğlu
She has more than 15 years experience in project development and investment in the real estate sector, marketing & sales, cost estimation, feasibility analysis, market research, urban renewal and housing, energy efficiency and sustainability management and policy development. She began his career as a city designer at Atelye T, after working in various companies in the real estate sector, she worked as a research assistant at Istanbul Technical University. From 2004 until 2017, she undertook different roles in Group companies of Soyak Holding. Lastly, as the Business Development Manager under the Board of Directors, in line with the company‘s strategies, she has undertaken sustainability and energy efficiency management of the group companies along with the land and project development, including urban renewal projects. In this period, she has taken different roles in the development of 15.000 houses and commercial units in the projects in total of 8 Housing Projects in Istanbul and İzmir with exceeding $ 1.5 billion investment amount, and development and investment processes of office project with 55.000m2 GLA and 100.000m2 construction area located on Istanbul’s CBD.In addition, she managed the sustainability work of group companies including the certification of approximately 10,000 residences, the current office building and the school buildings.She gives lectures at Bilgi University and Gyoder. Within the scope of Boğaziçi University "green campus" studies she has been the advisor of the Rector. She is currently part-time instructor at Bilgi University where she teaches Real Estate Development and Investment Management in the Master of Construction Management program.She graduated from ITU Faculty of Architecture, Department of City and Regional Planning with high rank. After graduating from urban design in ITU, she got her MBA degree from Bilgi University and currently she is studying PhD in Mimar Sinan University on urban renewal and financial models.She has certificates on real estate development, financing, sustainability, and strategy from Center for Real Estate at MIT and Harvard University. She is a member of GİSP, has worked actively in various committees at GYODER and in the ÇEDBİK for the Local Green Certificate for Residences.
She has publications on Urban renewal, Sustainability and Energy Efficiency, Development and Real Estate Legislation, Housing Policies.
